Workspaces are now in MCPJam

Matthew Wang3 min read

Workspaces are now available in MCPJam, a new way to organize your work in the inspector. Use workspaces to group your servers, you can think of them as folders for your server connections. Use them to group by function, team, anything you'd like. You can also share your workspaces, which share those servers in it, to others on your team.

We're seeing MCP servers being built across many teams. Workspaces bring a fresh way to organize and share your work.

Creating a workspace

Your MCPJam servers tab might be cluttered with a ton of MCP server connections. To keep it clean, you can move some servers to a new workspace. You decide how you want to organize your workspace.

When you open MCPJam, a workspace is already created for you. Rename the workspace by clicking on the existing name, a text field should appear. To create a new workspace, click the carrot icon next to the workspace name, and Add Workspace.

Sharing workspaces

You can share a workspace, which will also share those MCP servers to workspace members. Members who join the workspace will be able to view and connect to the servers you've shared.

No sensitive information such as access tokens and environment variables are saved and shared in the workspace.
